摘要: This study examines the possibility that 24-hour differences in blood pressure (BP) regulation between hypertensive and normotensive subjects is related to changes secretory patterns circulating pressor hormones. Nine young with normal BP 9 patients essential hypertension (EH) were studied during recumbency. Every 20 minutes samples taken determine plasma norepinephrine (NE) levels renin activity (PRA). was measured every by automatic recording. A distinct circadian rhythm demonstrated for mean BP, NE PRA both groups. Nocturnal reductions best sleep-wakefulness cycle Circadian correlated EH. The most striking difference 2 groups absolute of PRA, which higher EH group at time points 24-cycle. Differences accentuated sleep. Thus, persons show evidence enhanced sympathetic nervous throughout cycle, pronounced multiple sampling approach offers a more sensitive indicator role hormones maintenance.
