摘要: The prevalence of some mental illnesses, including major depression, anxiety-, trauma-, and stress-related disorders, substance use later onset schizophrenia, is higher in women than men. While the could simply be explained by socioeconomic determinants, such as income, social status, or cultural background, extensive studies show sex differences biological, pharmacokinetic, pharmacological factors contribute to females' vulnerability these illnesses. In this review, we focus on estrogens, chronic stress, neurotoxicity from behavioral, pharmacological, molecular perspectives delineate Particularly, investigate a possible role mitochondrial function, biosynthesis, bioenergetics, signaling, mediating psychiatric disorders.
