摘要: We describe recent progress in physics-based models of the plasmasphere using fluid and kinetic approaches. Global modeling dynamics influence is presented. Results from global simulations are used to understand quantify (i) electric potential pattern evolution during geomagnetic storms, (ii) on excitation electromagnetic ion cyclotron (EMIC) waves precipitation energetic ions inner magnetosphere. The interactions with ionosphere other regions magnetosphere pointed out. show results for formation plasmapause discuss plasmaspheric wind ultra low frequency (ULF) transport material. Theoretical field plasma distribution Model predictions compared Cluster Image observations, but also earlier satellite observations.
