摘要: BACKGROUND:There is a lack of data about drug use patterns in young women. Mental disorders may influence those patterns.OBJECTIVE:To evaluate (prescribed drugs, self-medication) general and relation to the prevalence rates mental German women.METHODS:A total 2064 women (18–24 y old), obtained random clustered sample, were asked their actual former medication use. Moreover, structured psychological interview (Diagnostic Interview for Disorders) was conducted with each woman (according Diagnostic Statistical Manual Disorders, 4th edition).RESULTS:Oral contraceptives (55.9%), thyroid preparations (7.1%), respiratory system drugs (9.4%), nervous (8%) most commonly used medications.
