摘要: ZnO and TiOx are commonly used as electron extraction layers (EELs) in organic solar cells (OSCs). A general phenomenon of OSCs incorporating these metal-oxides is the requirement to illuminate devices with UV light order improve device characteristics. This may cause severe problems if VIS down-conversion applied or spectral range (λ < 400 nm) blocked achieve an improved lifetime. In this work, silver nanoparticles (AgNP) plasmonically sensitize metal-oxide based EELs vicinity (1–20 nm) metal-oxide/organic interface. We evidence that sensitized facilitate afford well-behaved highly efficient OSCs, even without typical exposure. It shown illumination visible lowers WF due desorption previously ionosorbed oxygen, analogy process found neat metal oxides upon exposure, only. As underlying mechanism transfer hot holes from oxide hν Eg verified. The applicability concept most common (e.g. ZnO) combination different photoactive materials demonstrated.
