摘要: Abstract Strontium is a chemical element without biological functions in humans. In fact, only two roles are known, both as biomineral constituent. However, strontium and calcium (a significant biometal) present similarities; hence, the absorption of former by living organisms plausible. Based on particular properties isotopes several applications this sciences have been developed. These include its radioactive non-radioactive medical or resorting to stable analytical tools isotope fingerprinting (87Sr/86Sr) study dietary habits migration patterns ancient populations, food authentication forensic sciences. This article, reviews papers published between 2012 2016, highlights use ratios for such related compiles an database, providing valuable tool future studies area.
