摘要: Drug-induced akathisia is a significant and common iatrogenic disorder. It involves both subjective component of disturbing sense compulsion to move an objective motor restlessness. Akathisia being seen with increasing frequency in medical surgical patients. This due the increased use anti-emetics or novel adjuncts pain control as well more widespread major psychoactive drugs throughout medicine. review focuses on diagnostic features disorder possible treatment approaches. In addition, demonstrates close anatomic functional relationship between cortical subcortical dopaminergic pathways. thus increasingly clinical problem fascinating glimpse at brain function behavior.
