摘要: A new software-based method to assess and manipulate visual attention (VA) is introduced. The uses circular, transparent outlines (“bubbles”) that move over stimuli. To evaluate the method’s feasibility validity, 50 men watched same- opposite-sex erotica in self-directed manipulated VA conditions while their psychophysiological responses were recorded. Participants instructed select a bubble by using computer-mouse which kept selected content visible darkening rest of screen. Only one was available during conditions. Findings revealed participants could successfully perform experimental task spontaneous consistent with predictions.
