摘要: The study aims to evaluate an interprofessional community-based learning event, focussing on disability. opportunity was based the Leicester Model of Interprofessional Education, organised around experiences and perceptions service users their carers. Programme participants were drawn from medicine social work education in Leicester, UK, bringing together diverse traditions care people with disabilities. Small student groups (3–4 students) worked one eight community rehabilitation hospitals through a programme contact disabilities hospital, at home or other settings. evaluation, March 2005, used mixed methods approach, incorporating questionnaire surveys, focus group interviews students feedback users. Responses collated analysed using quantitative qualitative measures. Fifty 100 medical completed first combined delivery module. findings indicated that merging perspectives appear create some tensions, although overall experience found be beneficial. Service (16 responses) valued process. They not concerned prospect meeting number elsewhere pleased think themselves as educators. Problems obstacles still anticipated include changing mindset clinicians practising workers enable them support each other’s disciplines practice learning. generally positive outcomes highlight disability focussed joint offers meaningful platform for environment.
