摘要: In June 1989, the largest recorded outbreak of food- borne botulism occurred in United Kingdom. Twenty- seven patients were affected during with type B botulism. A case note review 14 admitted this condition was performed and neuro- ophthalmic findings are presented. Patients severe disease presented a combination ocular bulbar symptoms; mild cases dysphagia noted first visual disturbance followed within 24 hours. Clustering bilaterality cranial nerve signs aided diagnosis. Accommodative paresis sixth palsy frequent early signs. When there respiratory paralysis ventilatory failure, it 12 hours onset third palsy.
