摘要: Circa 1992 a series of satellites orbiting the earth captured images spectural reflectance covering 36 million acres geopolitically sculptured place called Illinois. After sophisticated computer processing, these show that 80% landscape is agricultural, primarily row crops such as, corn, soybeans, and small grains. Forested wooded land covers 11% state, wetlands cover little more than 3%. Chicago, third largest city in country, other urban built-up less 3½% state. Open water, last classification, slightly 1½% Illinois landscape.
