摘要: A new image segmentation method is proposed for the automatic conversion of images from visual to tactile form. The utilizes a watershed-based algorithm obtaining initial segmentation. joint region merging criterion developed reduce number regions in more appropriate way. combines, weighted fashion, criteria based on homogeneity and edge integrity, which have each been applied marginally with some relative success. However, has shown significant drawbacks when independently. takes advantage these two methods, giving final that visually appropriate. Experimental results are presented showing advantages criterion. Also, compared multiresolution (MR) detection techniques imaging applications. Additional included procedure over MR techniques.
