摘要: Vimang is an aqueous extract of Mangifera indica used in Cuba to improve the quality life patients suffering from elevated stress. To assess its possible analgesic and antiinflammatory effects, results a standard evaluation are presented. Analgesia was determined using acetic acid-induced abdominal constriction formalin-induced licking. Antiinflammatory effects were evaluated carrageenan- oedema. (50-1000 mg/kg, p.o.) exhibited potent dose-dependent antinociceptive effect against acid test mice. The mean potency (DE(50)) 54.5 mg/kg maximal inhibition attained 94.4%. (20-1000 dose-dependently inhibited second phase pain but not first phase. DE(50) 8.4 99.5%, being more than indomethacin at doses 20 mg/kg. significantly oedema formation (p < 0.01 or p 0.05) both rat, guinea-pigs mice (maximal inhibitions: 39.5, 45.0 48.6, respectively). inhibitions similar those produced by sodium naproxen, p.o. different polyphenols found could account for actions reported here time M. bark extract.
