摘要: Exopolymers which anchor sessile bacteria to metallic surfaces exhibit the capacity bind copper ions with high affinity. Ionized carboxyl groups on polymers appear participate in cupric ion binding. Formation of complexes between and results release protons from polymer molecule. Attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy showed that composed acidic polysaccharides promote ionization deterioration surfaces. X-ray photoelectron studies revealed ionic state surface-derived varied depending type polysaccharide was contact surface. The suggest exopolymers elaborated by adherent can enhance corrosion they are associated.
