Effects on reflected and transmitted powers of planar stratified structures involving chiral nihility metamaterials

摘要: Behavior of different planar multilayer periodic structures due to plane wave excitation has been studied using the transfer matrix method. Multilayer structure is composed odd number slabs and layers at locations have same characteristics even characteristics. For each structure, are chiral nihility metamaterial whereas three cases considered for locations, i.e., dielectric, nihility. Effects polarization rotation optical activity material's chirality with respect angle incidence frequency in THz region. Chiral adds property transparency normal incidence. nihility-chiral yields oblique total rejection higher frequencies.
