Conjugated polymers with cationic iridium(III) complexes in the side-chain for flash memory devices utilizing switchable through-space charge transfer

摘要: Polycarbazole and polyfluorene containing cationic iridium(III) complexes in the side-chain have been designed synthesized. Both polymers demonstrated to show conductance switching behavior non-volatile flash memory devices based on them were successfully realized, which formation dissociation of through-space charge-transfer states from conjugated polymer “sea” Ir(III) complex “island”, controlled by voltage, are responsible for effect. The exhibit low reading, writing, erasing voltages a high ON/OFF current ratio. ON OFF stable up 107 read cycles at voltage −1.0 V. Due different chemical structures main-chain, two threshold voltages. polycarbazole derivative exhibits higher HOMO LUMO levels compared with analogue. Thus, state device is obviously lower than that derivative-based because energy barrier between work function ITO anode level derivative. Similarly, evidently electron injection Al into slightly may be rationally modulated modifying structure polymers.
