摘要: Abstract The venom of the southern copperhead snake ( Ancistrodon contortrix ) possesses procoagulant and fibrinolytic properties. A fraction, separated by chromatography gel filtration, clotted fibrinogen directly possessed proteolytic, esterolytic, amidase activities. In its action upon fibrinogen, fraction released fibrinopeptide B at a much faster rate than A, reverse effect thrombin. Despite rapid release B, visible clotting did not take place until appreciable was also removed. These experiments support view that depends removal from molecule, permitting aggregation monomeric units.
