摘要: The operation of damage mechanisms in a material or structure under load produces transient acoustic waves. These waves are known as emission (AE). In composites they can be caused by variety sources including matrix cracking, fiber breakage, and delamination. AE signals detected analyzed to determine the location source triangulation. Attempts also made analyze type severity mechanism. monitoring has been widely used for both laboratory studies materials, testing integrity structures field. this work, an advanced, waveform based system was study transverse cracking cross-ply graphite/epoxy laminates. This featured broad band, high fidelity sensors, capture rate digital acquisition storage signals. addition, analysis techniques on plate wave propagation models were employed. features provided superior noise rejection capabilities.
