摘要: Abstract The generation expansion planning (GEP) problem involves the determination of types, location and construction time new technologies which should be added to existing system in order meet growing demand over a horizon. It is vital issue due electricity-dependent aspect everyday life as well most production service systems society. Over past few decades, GEP has experienced multifarious changes resulting emerging multitude models solving methods. In this context, many studies have been carried out achieve optimal strategies with respect different energy-related issues, such electricity market, uncertainties, low carbon economy requirements, distributed generation, renewable sources, energy policies, demand-side programs, so on. pursuance finding further research ideas field identify less-addressed areas, need for comprehensive review accomplished felt. By reviewing almost all aspects that considered yet, present paper provides detailed classification large number done studies. Reviewing results provide useful insights into future activities.
