摘要: An improved extrusion apparatus prevents the distortion of peripheral cells in extruded honeycomb structures. The includes a die 18 having an outward surace 22 which is bevelled to have primaryface40 and surrounding face 42 converging direction. mask 30 provided central orifice 38 entrance 44 also at same angle use as surface42 body has been found reduce cell crushing. Moreover, disclosed are spacers 48 situated between mask30 controls thickness gap thus allowing for provision structures skins varying thickness.
