摘要: We present a quadrature volume coil designed for brain imaging of macaque monkey fixed in sphinx position (facing down the bore) within stereotactic frame at 3 T, where and presence preclude use existing coils. Requirements include ability to remove without disturbing frame. A saddle solenoid were combined on modified cylindrical former connected as produce homogeneous circularly polarized field throughout brain. To allow loops encompass ear posts, partial disassembly reassembly facilitated by embedding pin socket contacts into separate pieces former. Coil design included simulation electromagnetic fields containing 3D model monkey's head. The resulting produced adequate homogeneity signal-to-noise ratio
