摘要: The complexation of three kinds sequence-ordered acid (co)polymers with a base homopolymer was studied. polymers used are poly(methacrylic acid) 1, alternating (1 : 1) ethylene-methacrylic copolymer 2, and periodic (2 3, the polymer is poly(4-vinylpyridine) 4. When mixing methanol solution or 3 that 4 (0.1 M each functional group), precipitate formed immediately for all pairs. All precipitates contained carboxyl pyridyl groups in ca. 1 molar ratio showed IR spectra indicating hydrogen bonding between groups. dilute solutions (10 -4 M) above pairs, no precipitation observed, but extinction coefficient (e B ) at 255 nm found to increase an increasing concentration. This ascribed methanol. Based on e variation, order constants acid/base pairs estimated as follows 1/4 pair ∼ 2/4 >> 3/4 pair.
