摘要: Why fast? Ramadan is the fasting month of Muslim calendar. Fasting in Ramadan one five pillars Islam. During this holy month, healthy adult Muslims are required to abstain eating, drinking and from any sexual activity between dawn sunset, an effort achieve better self control. It well established that incidence some diseases requiring emergency visit, increases dramatically during sacred 1–5. Which increase Ramadan? Our service, can receive about 500 patients on a daily basis (in other admission range 250 600 patient/day). The most frequent emergencies ever seen gastro-duodenal ulcer its complications such as: hemorrhage perforation1. This due fasting, stress, variation circadian rhythm which worsen untreated or insufficiently treated ulcers1. In addition, several chronic pathologies be higher levels, especially diabetes mellitus complicated by acidocetosis hypoglycemia with insulin shots2.
