摘要: Flavobacterium columnare is a Gram-negative pathogen of many species wild and cultured fish. Isolates from diseased channel catfish belong to either genomovar I or II. Genomovar II isolates were found be more virulent than isolates. The objective the present study was determine whether differences exist in chemotactic response these genomovars mucus obtained skin, gills intestines healthy using capillary chemotaxis assay. Mucus skin gill induced greater by F. intestine. Sixty percent individual yielded positive columnare. Finally, data indicate that results This may an important first step for colonization gills. Although role plays virulence not fully defined, ll suggests associated with virulence.
