摘要: Sclerotinia homoeocarpa F.T. Bennett is a filamentous member of Ascomycota that causes dollar spot, the most economically important disease turfgrass worldwide. We sequenced and characterized mating-type (MAT) locus four recently-collected contemporary strains causing historical type used to describe fungus, three species Rutstroemiaceae. Moreover, we developed multiplex PCR assay screen 1019 isolates for mating-type. The organization MAT loci all examined could be classified into one categories: (1) putatively heterothallic, as exemplified by strains; (2) heterothallic with deleted putative gene in MAT1-2 idiomorph, detected from two populations United Kingdom show more similarity (3) homothallic close physical linkage between MAT1-1-1 MAT1-2-1, found strain S. Rutstroemia cuniculi; (4) an unresolved but apparently which contained both MAT1-2-1 these genes flanking not confirmed, identified R. paludosa Poculum henningsianum. In there was no significant difference frequency mating types clone-corrected samples when analyzed on regional local scales, suggesting sex may possible this pathogen. However, Italy twenty California were heterokaryotic complete idiomorphs. Results study contribute knowledge about systems fungi enhance our understanding evolution biology plant
