摘要: This work examines the effect of applying fumed silica with nanoscopic-size particles as a filling material for melamine-urea-phenol-formaldehyde (MUPF) resin in process manufacturing water-resistant plywood. Moreover, this paper investigates possibility reducing amount MUPF mixture used gluing veneer sheets. Based on investigations into reactivity, viscosity and durability containing various amounts nanofiller, it was found that optimum can make suitable sheets to 2 PBW per 100 resin. The properties thus mixed were determined by measuring contact angle determining parameters its derivatives, which are an additional criterion evaluating properties. thermal stability tested simultaneous use TG–DSC analysis. experimental plywood manufactured using optimal nano-SiO2 terms bond quality mechanical according appropriate standards. prove is possible apply Introducing above-mentioned makes increase activation energy cross-linking optimize veneer. also produce required water-resistance adhesive reduced 30 %.
