摘要: A closed-loop servohydraulic testing machine was used to conduct high rate tests on reinforced concrete beams. Seven pairs of singly beams (without shear reinforcement) were tested under displacement control. From each pair, one beam at a "static" (piston velocity = 0.00071 cm/sec) and the other "high" 38 cm/sec). The total number cracks reduced significantly rate. Peak load energy absorption capacity found increase with straining. For three tested, final failure mode shifted from static flexural This phenomenon is opposite brittle transition in reported by some researchers.
