摘要: Molting and breeding cycles are high-energetic costs events, usually synchronized temporally well defined in tropical avian communities. However, degraded and/or undergoing restoration areas, environmental stresses, such as forest fragmentation restriction of food resources, could locally change these patterns. This study aims to analyze molting a bird assembly an re-vegetation area the Atlantic Forest southeastern Brazil. By mist netting, we searched for evidence flight feathers presence brood patch captured birds. We also recorded three variables (temperature, rainfall, photoperiod) test whether they affect those events. sampled 85 individuals from 36 species. The cycle started July peaked November December. period was between April next year January February. events were related temperature. overlap 11% ( n = 9). Our data suggest that molt times accordance other studies where climate is more seasonal, yet necessary investigate biological their possible alterations due degradation.
