摘要: a b s t r c Building envelope airtightness is important for residential energy use, occupant health and comfort. We analyzed the air leakage measurements of 134,000 single-family detached homes in US, using normalized (NL) as metric. Weatherization assistance programs (WAPs) efficiency contributed most data. performed regression analyses to examine relationship between NL various house characteristics. Explanatory variables that are correlated with include year built, climate zone, floor area, height, whether participated WAPs or if they rated homes. Foundation type ducts located outside inside conditioned space also found be useful parameters predicting NL. developed model explains approximately 68% observed variability across US Of these considered, built zone two have largest influence on The can used predict values individual homes, distributions groups based their Using RECS 2009 data, predicts 90% houses 0.22 1.95, median 0.67.
