摘要: Variation at five polymorphic microsatellite loci was used to investigate genetic diversity and differentiation of two tetraploid Canarian endemics, Bencomia exstipulata B. caudata. Data were analysed are discussed in terms tetrasomic (autotetraploid) disomic (allotetraploid) inheritance. In both cases, values similar those described other plant species. High between the only natural populations detected (FST = 0.411). Bayesian cluster analysis revealed a geographical structure with distinct groups from each island. low population Tenerife suggest recent bottleneck, perhaps caused by most major volcanic eruption, for this locality. This may be heightened possible inbreeding depression monoecy these Polymorphic also tested across all species alliance. These reliably amplified target sequence, suggesting high degree conservation sequences flanking microsatellites. © 2009 The Linnean Society London, Botanical Journal Society, 2009, 160, 429–441.
