摘要: Study objectives The recuperative effect of a nap less than 30 minutes has been confirmed. Such naps consist mainly stages 1 and 2 sleep. present study examined whether sleep stage or contributed to the short nap. Design Repeated-measurement within-subject design. After was restricted 1.5 hours their usual nocturnal sleep, participants took rest (No-nap condition) at 2:00 PM. In condition, they were awakened after 5 (S1-nap 3 appeared (S2-nap condition). Setting University laboratory. Participants Ten healthy university students (aged 19 24 years). Measurements Subjective mood, performance on visual detection symbol-digit substitution tasks, number slow eye movements during task measured before rest. Results No-nap subjective mood deteriorated, Slow increased mid-afternoon, suggesting that post-lunch dip occurred. contrast, alertness improved rarely occurred in S2-nap condition. Although sleepiness fatigue improved, deteriorated S1-nap Conclusion A daytime containing effects, whereas these effects are limited following only
