摘要: We investigate the correspondence between a nonequilibrium ensemble defined via distribution of phase-space paths Hamiltonian system and driven into steady state by boundary conditions. To discover whether path adequately describes physics system, we measure transition rates in simple one-dimensional model rotors with Newtonian dynamics purely conservative interactions. compare those known properties ensemble. In doing so, establish effective protocols for analysis quasisteady states. Transition potential wells also elements are studied found to exhibit distinct properties, more coarse-grained being effectively further from equilibrium. all cases results boundary-driven close path-ensemble predictions, but question equivalence two remains open.
