摘要: Summary. The ingestion, bactericidal activity and metabolism of isolated mature neutrophil leucocytes during phagocytosis was studied in 17 patients with chronic granulocytic leukaemia (CGL) the simultaneous use normal controls. Seven had received no treatment others been treated previously Busulphan. phagocytic indices for killed yeast cells did not differ from those A diminished against E. coli found nine CGL cases. capacity closely correlated degree leuco-cytosis since a WBC count 90 ooo/tl or higher one exception showed decreased activities while counts below 000/μl two exceptions activities. [i-14C]-glucose oxidation increased four three patients. Some correlation between abnormally high low [i-14C]glucose activity. intracellular iodination reaction 10 cases extracellular six case. data granulocyte correlate count, oxidation. time course seemed to deviate controls indicating slow initial ingestion and/or degranulation phase. content myeloperoxidase increased, lysozyme half amount antibacterial cationic proteins low. present findings indicate variety abnormalities granulocyte, which are interrelated.
