摘要: Introduction Ultrasound (US) measurement of the median nerve cross-sectional area (CSA) at wrist is a useful diagnostic test for carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). We compared normal values between samples Indian and Dutch populations. Methods: The was examined by US in 100 healthy volunteers India 137 Netherlands using same protocol. Results: Median CSA (7.0 ± 1.1 mm2) cohort lower comparison to (8.3 ± 1.9 mm2; P < 0.05). This difference still present after controlling age, height, weight (P = 0.001). Conclusions: were different population even correcting weight. enforces idea that laboratories around world should obtain their own normative data. Muscle Nerve 50: 129–132, 2014
