摘要: Background and Objective Fractionated photothermolysis (FP) has revolutionized modern laser technology. By creating selective columns of microthermal damage, fractionated devices allows for greater treatment depths to be achieved without the prolonged downtime risk complications seen in traditional fully ablative resurfacing. Fractional resurfacing is a proven method treat variety cutaneous conditions. In Caucasian patient, wide range settings can utilized safely effectively. However, ethnic skin requires special consideration due its unique pigmentary characteristics clinical presentations. this review article, we detail current indications strategies optimize results mitigate when utilizing fractional Asian patient. Methods A MEDLINE English literature was conducted on studied population. Articles included describe non-ablative including erbium glass, thulium fiber, diode, radiofrequency devices; carbon dioxide (CO2) laser, yttrium aluminum garnet scandium gallium (YSGG) laser. These data were integrated with expert opinion authors. Conclusion Taking into account cosmetic concerns population, considered safe effective option atrophic hypertrophic scarring, photorejuvenation types. Select cases melasma may treated devices, but caution. The predominant complication associated these conditions post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) rebound worsening melasma. A number treatments at lower density wider intervals typically produce lowest risks PIH compromising efficacy. Lasers Surg. Med. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
