Review of the experimental evidence for the law of variation of the electron mass with velocity

摘要: The paper reviews the actual experiments in which dependence of electron mass on velocity is investigated. It found that most precise verification relativistic formula follows from fine structure doublet separation hydrogen-like spectra. Regarding direct behaviour free electrons, results do not contradict formula, although experimental error available measurements rather high; i.e. it cases comparable with difference between theoretical formulae derived different assumptions. Recent protons are also reviewed.
