摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter provides information to the physiology of circadian rhythms in microorganisms. Circadian rhythmicities, having a period about one day, are documented throughout plant and animal kingdoms at every level eukaryotic organization. It is almost self-evident that spatial organization functioning living forms inextricably intertwined. There selective premium for temporal adaptation, especially solar periodicities, adaptive features have been attained by organisms through some sort timing mechanism: particular, an endogenous, autonomously oscillatory biological clock responsive to, which can be reset otherwise modulated by, those environmental periodicities organism has encountered its evolutionary history. The free-running (τ) remarkably well compensated changes ambient temperature within physiological range, as might expected accurately clock. discusses protozoa, unicellular algae, fungi illustrated.
