Mitochondrial metabolism in normal, myeloid, and erythroid hyperplastic rabbit bone marrow: Effect of chloramphenicol

摘要: Protein synthesis, respiration, and oxidative phosphorylation were studied in mitochondria isolated from normal, myeloid, erythroid hyperplastic bone marrow of rabbits. Mitochondria normal myeloid showed a similar degree 14C-leucine incorporation while threefold higher activity was demonstrated marrow. The mitochondrial-concentration-dependent all cases inhibited by low concentrations chloramphenicol (CAP). respiratory either or twice as high the but respiration unaffected CAP which totally protein synthesis.
