Amino acid replacements associated with reversion and recombination within a coding unit.

摘要: Amino acid substitutions associated with forward mutation and reversion at the A58–A78 site of A gene Escherichia coli tryptophan synthetase were examined. The following five replacements involving four amino acids same position in protein found: Gly→Asp, Cys; Asp→Gly, Ala; Cys→Gly. relationships between these acids, examined terms their coding units defined vitro , allowed tentative assignments specific to residues. Genetic recombination within unit was also demonstrated primary structure changes proteins recombinants determined.
