摘要: We examined the reaction time benefit that is obtained when salient features of stimulus set and response correspond. Components event-related brain potentials were used to measure timing stimulus-related response-related processes in order determine locus this effect. Of particular importance was development a new index selective preparation, corrected motor asymmetry (CMA). found no evidence for use preliminary, partial information preparation. These results suggest located primarily selection probably reflects more efficient algorithm stimulus-response translation. Also, we trial-to-trial variability duration be major determinant time, whereas durations subsequent relatively invariant. Implications these discrete continuous models choice performance are discussed.
