摘要: Comprehensive analysis of food webs requires identifying dietary sources that support the production all major organisms within web/food chain. Here, we use stable isotope ratios (δ13C, δ34S and δ15N) to assess relative contribution different basal carbon diet Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus L.) in three tropical lakes Hawassa (also Awasa literature), Ziway Koka (Ethiopia). Computations were carried out with Stable Isotope Analysis R (SIAR) model quantify proportion each prey for fish. Basal distinguishable based on their δ13C, δ15N values. In Lake Ziway, macrophytes (64%) dominant assimilated while particulate organic matter (POM) zooplankton contributed only 20% 16%, respectively. parallel, (35%), POM (33%) (32%) at comparatively equal proportion. The fish (49%) (51%). contrast earlier studies gut content analysis, present results reveal more phytoplankton less than previously reported especially macrophyte-dominated Hawassa. ecological condition might have been predominantly accountable change tilapia. As data are prerequisite chain aquaculture industry, re-evaluating aquatic appear relevant.
