摘要: Abstract The domestic dog fulfills many functions for their human companions, such as hauling, guarding, and protection. Consequently, humans have taken dogs to nearly every corner of the globe. Recent translocations Western stemming from Victorian era fancy erased some ancient genetic signatures these earlier migrations. Here we used DNA modern North American Arctic Alaska Greenland assess continuity in time space. We successfully sequenced 23 archaeological (ca. AD 1250–1910) recent 1930–1990) surface-collected Canis bone tooth samples compared them 51 Inuit Sled Dogs published sequences Alaskan Malamutes (and additional Dogs) test evidence lineage replacement or through time. Ancient all contained a high frequency haplotype A31, which was previously described only dogs. Thus, A31 common thread tying entire together prior European colonization and, Eastern Arctic, indicates between past present well. However, is rare dogs, consistent with post-colonization by Eurasian matrilines.
