摘要: Previous studies have advocated the use of a degraded accommodative stimulus to assess value tonic accommodation (TA) under clinical conditions. This study has attempted determine efficacy two such clinically applicable techniques, i.e., viewing low spatial frequency (approximately 0.1 cpd) difference Gaussian (DOG) grating or retinoscope beam in an otherwise dark room. Additionally response (AR) was measured darkness. The data indicate that these techniques did provide accommodation. However, measures AR recorded when fixating targets not correlate with values obtained lack correlation suggests responses either DOG target may represent veridical measure TA.
