摘要: In the period after major solar events of February 1946, emission at 200 MHz had decreased to modest levels. The typical intensities were less than 106 Jy—less intense by a factor 10—by next rotation in early March. RPL group began this time concentrate on multi-frequency observations emission. Already PC (Propagation Committee) meeting previous November, elucidation metre wave spectra short term bursts been proposed (i.e., determination radio energy as function frequency or wavelength). At 11 June Pawsey and Payne-Scott wrote: “Future work will an exploration spectrum, both mean level bursts”. A month later 8 July it was clear begun earnest. 60–200 MHz, found that did not correlate simultaneous recording 60–75 begun.( 1 ) other words, detecting burst one would be identically simultaneously active frequencies.
