摘要: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is capable of moving by swimming, swarming, and twitching motilities. In this study, we investigated the effects fatty acids on PAO1 A branched-chain acid (BCFA) – 12-methyltetradecanoic ( anteiso- C15:0) has slightly repressed flagella-driven swimming motility completely inhibited a more complex type surface motility, i.e. at concentration 10 μg mL−1. contrast, anteiso -C15:0 exhibited no effect pili-mediated motility. Other BCFAs unsaturated tested in study showed similar inhibitory swarming although level inhibition differed between these acids. These caused significant growth liquid cultures. Straight-chain saturated such as palmitic were less effective inhibition. The wetness colony was significantly reduced addition -C15:0; however, production rhamnolipids surface-active agent not affected acid. to repression, 31% repression biofilm formation PAO1, suggesting that BCFA could affect multiple cellular activities .
