摘要: This is an updated, comprehensive review of the psychometric properties behavioral pain assessment tools for use with noncommunicative, critically ill adults. Articles were searched in 5 health databases. A total 106 articles analyzed, including 54 recently published papers. Nine developed noncommunicative adults and 4 other non-communicative populations included. The scale development process, reliability, validity, feasibility, clinical utility analyzed using a 0 to 20 scoring system, quality evidence was also evaluated. Behavioral Pain Scale, Scale-Nonintubated, Critical-Care Observation Tool remain strongest properties, validation testing having been conducted multiple countries various languages. Other may be good alternatives, but additional research on them necessary.
