摘要: Objectives The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy and safety drug-eluting stent (DES) bare-metal (BMS) use in chronic total occlusion (CTO) recanalization. Background long-term effectiveness DES CTO recanalization are unclear, performance randomized clinical trials field is complex. Methods Major electronic information sources were explored for articles comparing outcomes with BMS among patients CTO. Assessed death, myocardial infarction, target vessel revascularization, major adverse cardiac events, thrombosis; angiographic restenosis reocclusion. Results Fourteen comparative studies identified (a 4,394 patients). When compared BMS, significantly reduced risk events (relative [RR]: 0.45, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.34 0.60, p Conclusions associated fewer occurrences restenosis, reocclusion than BMS. Although a statistical trend toward higher thrombosis observed, context seems be safe, an overall benefit sustained long term.
