摘要: Engineering education research (EER) has been on the fast track since 2004 with an exponential rise in number of Ph.D.s awarded and establishment new programs, even entire EER departments. The National Research Council’s Discipline-Based Education (DBER) report (National Council, 2012) captures state-of-the-art advances our understanding engineering science student learning highlights commonalities other science-based programs. DBER is consensus analysis experts undergraduate physics, chemistry, biology, geosciences, astronomy, engineering. study committee, chaired by Susan Singer, also included higher researchers, scientists, cognitive psychologists. A central aspect focus application education, learning, social-behavioral sciences to curricula design teaching methods. Froyd, Wankat, Smith (2012) identified five major shifts past 100 years: 1. shift from hands-on practical emphasis analytical 2. outcomes-based accreditation 3. emphasizing 4. applying 5. integrating information, computational, communications technology
