摘要: A bacterial strain has been isolated from an enhanced thiocarbamate degradation soil and identified as Corynebacterium sp. The was capable of rapidly metabolizing EPTC in a liquid culture where the herbicide sole source carbon. Evolution high quantities [14C]carbon dioxide coupled with rapid decline [14C]EPTC medium; after 12 h incubation these accounted for, respectively, 60% 0% recoverable radioactivity. Radioactivity polar extract increased gradually up to 20% 6 then declined slowly. TLC analysis identification based on comparison reference compounds showed that consisted sulfoxide two conjugates, EPTC-GSH EPTC-cysteine (1·8%, 3·4%, 16%, respectively). Piperonyl butoxide tetcyclasis, but not tridiphane, were found be effective inhibitors metabolism culture, suggesting breakdown might carried out by cytochrome P-450 monooxygenase-type activity. extender, dietholate, also strongly inhibited culture. Based results it postulated bacteria metabolize mainly hydroxylation α-propyl carbon finally release dioxide, while sulfoxidation appears minor route.
