摘要: The freshwater fish fauna of Pakistan is briefly discussed. It predominantly South Asian but High and West elements are also present. African element hardly perceptible. Five zoogeographical divisions proposed on the basis composition their fauna: (I) Division; (II) Aba-Sinh (III) Northwestern Montane (IV) Indus plain adjoining hills (V) Baluchistan Division. Asia recognized as two subregions within Oriental Region, while treated a transitional region.
